The Bureau de gestion des avoirs (BGA), in its capacity as the State's agent for the management and sale of seized or confiscated assets, announces a public auction of 150 luxury watches confiscated in money-laundering cases.
The sale will take place on June 8, 2024, at the Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains. Those wishing to bid in person are invited to register in advance via the following link: www.lux-auction.com. The sale is also available online or by telephone, subject to prior registration. Full details are available on the above-mentioned website.
A full catalog of the items for sale, together with a dedicated website, can be accessed via the link www.lux-auction.com. Interested parties can come and examine the watches on site on June 5, 6 and 7, 2024, according to a specified schedule, after registering online. On the day of the sale, only photos of the watches will be shown.
To guarantee a fair, transparent and secure sale, the BGA has entrusted the organization of this sale to a bailiff assisted by an auctioneer. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Fonds de lutte contre certaines formes de criminalité.
This initiative is in line with the government's "crime doesn't pay" policy, and underlines Luxembourg's commitment to using confiscated assets to combat crime effectively, by supporting dedicated projects and programs.
By converting assets derived from illegal activities into resources for the fight against crime, the BGA reaffirms its commitment to a fairer and safer society.
