The glassmaker Ada Loumani encloses paintings inspired by the great classics of the history of painting between two layers of glass. Never before imitated, this unique technique forces one to imagine and control the expansion of the glass during fusion. The artist paints a drawing or reproduces a painting with a paint created by NASA to inscribe the letters USA on the fuselage of the space shuttle subjected to pressure and very high temperatures. Painted on a surface of 10 to 15 cm, after fusion and deformation of the glass the work stretches over 40 to 45 cm. The secret lies in the anticipation and control of the heat deformation of the glass.
