Ben Heyart is a Luxembourgish painter, born in Luxembourg in 1927. Trained at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, at the Académie Julian in Paris and at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, his talent was quickly recognized when he was awarded the distinction of "Young Luxembourgian Painter" in 1951. Not limiting himself to pictorial creations, this true jack-of-all-trades artist created stained glass windows in the churches of Steinsel and Luxembourg Bonnevoie, as well as decorating numerous public buildings. Recognized by his peers, he received the Grand Duke Adolphe prize in 1962.
Ben Heyart's works are nowadays present in the National Museum of History and Art of Luxembourg, as well as in beautiful private collections such as the Peter Suyvesant House (Netherlands), but also in international exhibitions (Tokyo, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam).
