The Lounge Chair 265 was designed by the original king of space-age design - the Danish furniture designer Steen Ostergaard - in 1968 as part of the A-Line collection for CADO and was initially produced in six colours: red, white, blue, green, brown and beige (and the upholstery in many other colours).
The chair can be used both indoors and outdoors and has been featured in several movies such as Star Trek.
Star Trek is not the only space connection of the President's Lounge Chair - it was also used in the rocket base in Houston, Texas where it was specially molded to the floor, so that they don't move when rockets are launched!
At the time of its original production, it was cast in the largest injection mold in the world.
