The chaise longue model LC4 was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, and presented at the "Salon d'Automne" in Paris in 1929 as part of "L'Équipement intérieur d'une habitation". This chaise longue is certainly the most famous furniture of the "Le Corbusier group". Its shape is like a swing that fits the human body for a complete rest, that's why it was called by the authors: "La Machine à repos".
