In varnished satinwood, with a slight central protrusion in the front, opening with two drawers without crossbars and three others in the waist, resting on four cambered legs with bronze sabots. Grey Saint Anne marble top with moulded edge.
Gilded bronze handles and locks.

Roger Vandercruze Lacroix, received his master's degree in 1755, is undoubtedly one of the leading cabinetmakers in Paris, although his father was of Flemish origin. He lives in the environment of the greatest Parisian cabinetmakers, moreover his elder sister marries Simon Oeben. From 1769 he supplied furniture to the royal residences, in particular chests of drawers intended for the countess of Provence for Fontainebleau.
