Jérémy Vatutin, known as Monsieur Bibi, lives and works in Paris. A journeyman roofer by trade, his preferred mediums are zinc, slate and lead, which he recovers from the roofs of the capital. Using climate change and chemistry to age his works, Bibi shapes the metal, contrasting the effects of the material with the optical geometry of his patterns.
His new project "SOLCARLUS" unfolds in public space: his optical pavements develop on all concrete surfaces and invite the curious into another dimension for a few steps. His installations can be seen in various public and private places in Paris, as well as in the provinces, such as the Zoo Art Show in Lyon.
