Maggy Chlapek has been painting out of passion for many years, but it was in 2017, when she was a student of artist Markus Lüpertz in Heimbach that she gained confidence in her identity as an artist and developed her creative process.
"My paintings arise spontaneously and intuitively, and do not follow a pre-determined, programmed pattern. In this sense, the working process consists in making visible the "undesirable" or the unwanted. Art appears as it is and not as one would like it to be. It is an intuitive art that deliberately leaves accents and details unfinished in order to let the viewer follow them in their thoughts. My goal is to leave the work accessible so that everyone can make it their own."
Maggy Chlapek is very present in Germany and Switzerland where she participates in several contemporary art fairs, her works are now part of some beautiful private collections.
