Born in 1983, Eric Mangen is an abstract artist living and working in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. His artistic approach is based on the creation of backgrounds on which, like collages, he perpetually builds and deconstructs, indulging in the "synchronicities of errors". He works mainly on large format, because this space allows him to express himself through free movements. These are energetic and express a strength, emerging from his deepest feelings. The conception of his works could be likened to a dance, which combines pure intuition and logical construction. He works with various types of painting materials and regularly experiments with different surfaces, such as metal, wood, photographic transfer and fabric.
His regular travels and art residency projects, in Australia and the United States among others, as well as his regular international collaboration with contemporary artists, contribute to his artistic inspirations and evolutions.
