Born in 1964 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Frank Jons lives and works in Luxembourg since 2001. A degree in accounting and finance in his pocket but a passion for painting since his childhood: he decided in 1996 to devote himself fully to it. The first trigger was the Estève exhibition at the Grand Palais. In 2000, he undertook an 8-month trip in a camper van with his wife and child to the United States and Canada as far as the Arctic Circle, which made him change his way of working because, as a practical matter, he switched from oil to acrylic during his journey. In 2008, the Pierre Werner prize made him recognized on the Luxembourgish art scene. Personal exhibitions follow one another, the public discovers his instinctive painting from which the color springs.
?Marathoner, Traileur, Frank Jons is an endurant. His painting is physical, his art a chromatic explosion.
