French artist born in Metz in 1963 and died in 2011.
Poster created for the opening of the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art in July 2006 by the Mudam team in collaboration with the Berlin graphic designers Ott+Stein, Oliver Peters and the French artist Jean-Christophe Massinon. Mudam Luxembourg received a "Golden Award" at the prestigious International Museum Communication Awards (IMCA).
The poster was signed by the artist in 2011 on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of MUDAM.
Massinon's style is very personal, yet in tune with the times, and was forged in the mid-1990s. Painting, graphic design, sculpture, performances, installations, web art... in two teeming decades, the artist has built a work of great diversity that is strikingly coherent. In 2002, stunned by the result of the first round of the presidential election, the artist puts online a very graphic "no", whose O topped by a wick and a mustache is unequivocal. The logo-manifesto spreads on the net in a viral way.
