Jörg Döring, born in Germany in 1965, has been recognized since the 1990s with large format works that immerse us in his urban universe bathed in pop culture. Fascinated by the United States, he is inspired by the great names of the pop art movement, such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, as well as comic book heroes such as Donald and Mickey Mouse. Among his familiar themes, we find heroes from our imagination and the great icons of American and European cinema, such as Brigitte Bardot, Romy Schneider, Ursula Andress, Marilyn Monroe, Sean Connery or Clint Eastwood. Acrylic paintings, collages, serigraphs, illustrations and graffiti are among the techniques he uses.
