Lot 123 - Ott Neuens (born in 1944)
Painter from Luxembourg
Untitled
Work on canvas, mixed technique of oil, beeswax, resin, lapis lazuli pigments and gold.
Unique work accompanied by the certificate of authenticity of the artist.
Dimensions: H: 100; L: 100 cm

Ott Neuens began his career as a teacher-attached to the Ministry of Education where he was responsible, among other things, for publishing all textbooks for primary education. Through his work in the publishing industry, Ott Neuens met a number of illustrators and graphic designers who contributed to the development of his own artistic creation.
In a self-taught way, the artist in the making explores and perfects his artistic signature until he presents his first exhibition in 2004. In 2006, he perfected his skills in beeswax painting with Christine Brand at the Volkshochschule in Bielefeld. Since then, the Luxembourg artist has opened his own studio in Luxembourg City and regularly exhibits his work throughout the country.
Fascinated by precious stones, Ott Neuens is now exploring a new technique in his work by incorporating the pigment of these precious stones in order to expose all their intensity and variation of color, combined with the glitter of gold leaf, making a simple canvas a remarkable jewel.
