William Sweetlove, born in Ostend, Belgium in 1949, is a postmodern artist who questions the idea of art and culture. This non-conformist artist creates assemblages showing his unique sense of imagination. In 2003, William Sweetlove met a group of artists from Northern Italy called "The Cracking Art Group". They share a common spiritual base of Dada, Surrealism and Pop Art, which resulted in a remarkable collaboration under the name "Cracking Art loves William Sweetlove". The basic material of his work is a kind of plastic, produced by a thermo-chemical reaction, in a natural oil.
