Born in 1958 in Zurich, Rafael Springer is an internationally renowned painter and sculptor from Luxembourg. He is a member of the Ateliers Schläifmillen, a former industrial site that houses one of the best known artist collectives in Luxembourg. His works have been exhibited in Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and Greece, among others. In 2002, he was awarded the Pierre Werner Prize by the Cercle Artistique Luxembourgeois. He is also the author of collections of prose.
