Born in 1952 in Lower Bavaria, Günther Kempf is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Regensburg. Since 1987, his paintings and sculptures have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Europe and the United States. His wooden sculptures are partly inspired by African figures and Greenlandic Inuit carvings, but also by local legends.
