Born in 1974 in Köthen, Astrid Köppe studied fine art at the Braunschweig School of Art. Since 1999, her drawings on paper have been strictly A4 vertical format. They are based on concrete perceptions, which are then recombined on the sheet. She strives to strike a balance between absolute clarity of representation and the greatest possible openness in the message. All works are untitled, to leave interpretation to the viewer.
